Today was the first official training and my first experience on classic skis in the course for tomorrow. The nerves come and go a little, but mostly I am excited to race and I know what to do, ro rather than waste my energy getting nervous I’m getting pumped up just feeling the vibes here in Lahti and thinking about what is a head.
I had excellent help with the skis for todays training and felt confident when testing only two pairs. It was kind of funny that the pair I felt was the best, Eirik had already selected for the race tomorrow. Small things like that boosts confidence! Todays training consisted of ski testing and the usual race prep intervals: 3 x 3 minutes in competition speed with 3 minutes break. This evening I had a run and light stretch, before team meeting and late dinner.

And yes! My one and only has arrived in Lahti as well. It so great being here together even if we are with different teams, and he is still helping me with what I need, bless his heart. We talked through the course and he told me what to focus on in the different parts, and we basically made a tactical plan for me to focus on. Now it is up to me!
You’d think it would be a distraction, but getting asked to take over the NRK Sport until after the race tomorrow is such a fun thing to do. I love connecting with people and there is a lot going on behind the TV-cameras in a championship that you never get to see. So add nrksport to your Snapchat! I have already made some snaps, starting with a Norwegian Snapchat-lover who is a strong contender for the gold. To se who it is, you know what to do!
Now wish me luck tomorrow, I am sure going to need it!
