Imagine doing something for someone else that you as well instantly reap the benefits from!
Here is how you do it!
1.Today I suggest that you download the Wings for Life App.
2.Donate your contribution – every little bit counts and godes directly to spinal cord injury research.
3.On Sunday, where ever you are, join the World Run at 1.pm Norwegian time!
You run as far as you can until the catcher car catches up with you and the you are done. You can calculate your pace HERE or just run.
I WISH is could have gone to Stavanger to run this year, but definitely next year! To this date it is stil one of the most special races I have ever taken part in. All of the Norwegian Redbull HQ works voluntarily to put the event together and their athletes come out to support it and to run.
Last year was hard and I was not physically prepared for my goal of running 30K, but keeping in the back of my mind that some people can’t run at all made me keep my pace for as long as I could until I was caught, and it is such a thrill to be caught by the car!
Let this be your one good deed for the weekend – to yourself and to the little 2 year old boy who is facing a lifetime in a wheelchair unless a cure comes up. Yes, there is a family running for their son on Sunday and I too will run for them here in Oslo! So Oslo inhabitants: come join the App-run at Sognsvann with Kristin Birkelund & Jeanette Risberget!
Oh, and your benefits? Good conscience, numerous health and exercise benefits from a good run. Your heart, muscles and brain will be thanking you over and over again.
Much hope and happy running!
