When you are asked to be a guest on the coziest morning show in Norway with your favorite person: You say yes! Early morning last Thursday the husband and I jumped in a taxi and found ourselves at the TV2 building in Oslo’s main street.
No time for vanity
Eirik is never stressed out about outfits, because he is just putting on whatever with sponsor logos on and his make-up at the studio that morning took like 2 minutes. When I get invited somewhere, the classic “what to wear!”-question always pops up! I asked a serious pro for tips on what to- and absolutely not to wear on TV, but in reality I had zero time to put something together. I arrived without make-up and had the puffiest eyes from all the stress of the week, so in a very vain moment I thanked God for the sweet make-up lady there and my not-so-real-lashes by Jennie at Bettys. Which I paid for myself, thank you very much!
“Invited to TV2’s Good Morning Norway to talk about what?”, they asked? “Will you talk about training?”… “Um, no. We are going to talk about ourselves”. That felt bit awkward to be honest, but the thorough research they did before the show ended up really impressing me.
I realize that my husband and I have kind of a funny story of getting together, and him getting me to start skiing. In addition, we have been through hardships with my chronic back injury, which caused several turns in my own life, and his rapidly progressing auto-immune illness (btw, he is okay now due to the right medication). On top of that theres is always the XC-country circus to talk about!
When it came to it, the interview was more on the surface than anticipated and I was kind of relieved about that, even though we are willing to share our story if the setting feels right. Either way, it was a different start to the day for me and fun experience to have with Eirik.
Thank you God Morgen Norge for having us!
And thank you everyone for snapchat’ing me from the 7 minutes we were on there. I have screenshot every one of the snaps, haha. You now, memories and all..
If you didn’t catch the early morning interview with the husband and I, HERE IT IS.
